The biowaste collection pot is typically installed at the bottom of a collect net, closed cage or RAS system, where feces and excess feed naturally settle. Waste is gently transferred from the biowaste pot to discharge line(s) by Rotor Aqua’s proprietary pumping system.
Frequent emptying ensures short waste retention time, reducing the risk of H₂S formation and preventing/delaying waste decomposition. Gentle handling simplifies downstream separation and reduces the complexity of the filtration, processing and storage systems. The biowaste pot is an integrated part of a complete Fishit® system.
